Bhilai doctor bags award

Dr Ashok Ghorpade, Director (M&HS) and head, Dept of Dermatology in Bhilai Steel Plants’s JlN Hospital & Research Centre has been awarded the coveted Prof VN Sehgal award for “excellence in Dermatology, Venereology and leprosy” by the National Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and leprologists.

This award is given to only one out of over 7,000 Dermatologists of our country, based purely on extraordinary academic achievements. This award was handed over to Dr Ghorpade during a glittering felicitation ceremony at Hotel the Ashok, New Delhi on 5 th.December, 2013 by the president and president elect of National Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and leprologists.

This ceremony was held during the XI International conference of Dermatology held along with 42 nd. National conference of Dermatologists. There were more than 7,000 delegates including over 400 from USA, UK, Australia, Germany, France Canada, Philippines etc. who attended this conference.
