The first list of BJP candidates for Bhilai-Charoda Municipal Corporation polls was released here on Friday.
State BJP Chief Dharamlal Kaushik declared the names of candidates who would contest the election in 15 wards of the civic body.
The Bhilai-Charoda Municipal Corporation is a 40 ward urban body which would see the Mayoral election for the first time on December 27.
According to official information, for ward number 1, Hathkhoj Indira Nagar, Surendra Shirvastava (General) has been finalized as party candidate.
likewise, from ward no. 3 Aklordih, Pramod Verma (OBC), ward no. 5 Dadar Patharra, Dhanvantin lahre (SC woman), ward no. 7 Mahamaya Para, Dilip Kumar Patel (OBC) and from ward no. 12 Railway Colony, Rajkumar Dewangan (OBC) have been places in the fray.
Further, for ward no. 13 Nehru Nagar, Reena Thakur (OBC woman), ward no. 15 Bazaar Chowk, Sushma Jethani (unreserved), ward no. 16 Shanti Nagar, Firoz Farukhi (general), ward no. 18 Padum Nagar west, Indu Bala Sahu (OBC woman), ward no. 19 Padum Nagar East, P Aruna (General Woman), Ward 20. Charoda Basti, Asha Yadav (General Woman), ward 21 Charoda Bhathapara, Seeta Sahu (OBC Woman), ward no. 30 Urla, Rohit Kumar Sahu (General), ward no. 39 Morid, Baldau Ram (General) and for ward number 40 Giniyari, Gendram Kosre (SC) have been declared as party’s official candidates.
