Terming the nine and half years tenure of Bharatiya Janata Party Government in Chhattisgarh as golden era, vice president of State BJP Sachchidanand Upasane said that not a single court in the country held guilty State Government on any count during this period. People of the State will give suitable reply to the Congress indulging in witch hunting, he warned.
Addressing a press conference at Ekatma Parishar Sunday afternoon, Upasane charged that due to its falling graph of credibility and shrinking base Congress leadership in the state is levelling baseless charges against the Government. After clarification of State Government and the police on the allegation regarding Priyadarshini Bank scam, the Congress is now looking blank. The BJP criticises such type of wayward behaviour.
According to Upasane, Congress badly failed in its bid to politicise its Kalash Yatra. Also it was Congress party during whose regime money from accounts of thousands of poor people was siphoned off while the BJP Government initiated quick police action and also helped ensure return of money to a number of account holders through insurance companies. Since the case is sub judice making comment on it won’t be appropriate, Upasane added.
The BJP State vice president alleged that the most unfortunate aspect of the Congress allegation is that they are now trying to link it with Jeeram Valley Maoist attack case. The BJP will simply remind Congress leaders that people of this State have not forgotten murder of treasurer of a political party in full public view and that political murders have been culture of Congress and not BJP, he added.
