Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday exhorted his party workers to not just carry out their duties as BJP workers, but become ‘Dr Raman Singh’ themselves to perform tasks with alertness with the pledge of ensuring a win in all the Assembly seats of the State.
‘My strength is the party’s workers and the BJP would clinch a hatrick win in the polls based on their strength’, he said while addressing a Rajnandgaon Assembly level party workers convention on his birthday on the sprawling ground of Devanand Jain Higher Secondary School here.
launching a scathing attack on the Congress party in his speech, Singh stated that the Congress party raised the voice on Poverty Alleviation but the poor instead got buried in the weight of price rise.
The Congress party promised to bring down price within 100 days of assuming power but it only multiplied 100 times when it got to power, the Chief Minister stated.
‘All this (price rise) had happened due to scams during the Congress-led UPA rule at the Centre. The scams had led to worsening of the country’s financial system which had also resulted in price rise multiplying 100 times,’ Singh said.
He said that there is intense anger in the minds of the people towards the Congress for the price rise situation and its direct impact would be seen with the Assembly and Parliamentary poll results.
‘I am an MlA from Rajnandgaon and whatever I am today, it is only because of the blessings of the people and the hard work of the party workers,’ Singh said.
Meanwhile, the BJP workers convention in the district would be held in Dongargarh, Khairagarh and Chhuria on Wednesday, a party press release issued here on Tuesday stated.
