Chhattisgarh Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu on Thursday ordered Home Guard officials to ensure necessary preparations for rescue and relief in flood-prone districts during monsoon.
He was addressing a review meeting for the preparedness of the flood disaster management in the districts, an official communication here said.
Sahu said that necessary improvements should be made in the system based on past experiences and various issues must be discussed with the district Collectors.
He directed the officials to be in constant touch with the Collector and the Water Resources Department before filling the reservoirs and releasing water in case of overflow.
