Bastar will remain with Cong: Baghel

nChhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said Bastar was with the Congress and will remain with it. No strategy of the BJP will work here.

In 2018, Congress won the seat by 17,000 votes but in this by-poll the victory margin will be bigger, he said.

He was interacting with media persons towards the end of election campaign at Chitrakot. He addressed public meetings at Mardum and Kurenga of Lohandiguda block.

Commenting on the top BJP leaders campaigning, Baghel said O P Choudhary is missing from action. He said everyone is angry with the work style of BJP, while every section is happy with the Congress. “It is the reason why the BJP failed to retain the Dantewada seat,” he added.

Commenting on former CM Raman Singh on Rahul Gandhi, he said it pains when a person like Raman Singh makes such a comment. “Making    comments on an individual’s personal life is the BJP’s true nature. Former CM is now national vice president of the party, he should speak on the status of economy of the country,” Baghel said.

During the last day of      election campaign, apart from party candidate Rajman Bezam and array of leaders were present. Chief Minister Baghel in his address listed out achievements of his 11-month old governments and sought support for the party candidate. Around 48 BJP youth leaders joined Congress party in presence of Chief Minister.
