Joint Director, Health Department Dr RN Pandey has issued orders for immediate suspension of all the sterilisation camps for women in the district till further orders are received from the State Government.
The in-charge doctors of institutions where aseptic and invasive procedures are adapted to perform such operations would be alerted beforehand to take precautions.
Chief Health and Medical Officers, civil surgeons and hospital superintendents would be inspecting the hospitals where such camps would be held for sterilisation operations, officials stated.
The doctors and staff have been asked to strictly follow the standard protocol while performing the surgeries.
