AGovernment employee was relived of about Rs19,000 after some unidentified person hacked his account and managed to transfer the mentioned amount to some anonymous account. Police said that the initial investigation suggest that someone based outside the country has hacked the account.
According to police, Suresh Prasad Agrawal resident of Daldal Seoni has lodged a report in this connection. In the report he narrated that he has an account in ICICI Bank, Civil lines branch. On March 12 he found that about Rs19,400 were missing from his accounts. He then contacted Bank authorities who told that his money was transferred to some other account. Unsatisfied with the answer he reported the matter to Civil lines police. During the investigation, police found that someone based in Germany had hacked the online account of the complainant. Civil lines police has registered a case under IT Act 2000 and is investigating the matter.
