Raipur (Rural) MlA and senior Congress leader Satyanarayan Sharma on Wednesday criticised the ban put on appointment of Prof Sadananad Shahi as Vice Chancellor of Bilaspur University.
“Restriction on appointment of Prof Shahi who is the Professor in Hindi Department at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Convener of Bhojpuri learning Centre is an insult to his intellectualism”, he said while addressing a press conference here.
Office of the Chancellor has taken the decision due to protest staged by ABVP recently at the varsity premises against Prof Shahi’s appointment, Sharma alleged. The Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee strongly opposes the ban, he said.
