A delegation of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) on Thursday met Raipur District Collector OP Choudhary to discuss the ban over electrical goods made in China.
The members informed the Collector that due to cheap price and easy availability of Chineses goods, the traders in Chhattisgarh also bring these goods from metro cities.
They further informed the Collector that in the view of ongoing festive season, traders have got good stock of various products made in China.
However, after State Government decided to impose ban over some Chinese electrical goods, the district officials are seizing all kinds of electrical items made in China. This has created a panic in business community across the State, they said.
The Collector informed the delegation that ban has been put only over sale of Chinese halogen lamps and tubes. All other electrical goods made in China, is out of ban. We have also issued directives to officers in this regard, he said.
