The Bharat Aluminium Company ltd (BAlCO) has put a new jewel in its crown by winning the prestigious Manufacturing Today awards 2012-13 for its excellence in innovation and human resources practices, the company said on Wednesday.
It won “Manufacturing Today excellence in innovation” as well as its was awarded the runners up in “Manufacturing Today excellence in human resources” in the large enterprises category. The Award for excellence in human resources was received by BAlCO Human resources head Amit Joshi along with his team at the award ceremony held at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Pune on September 28.
Dedicating both the awards to the employee of BAlCO, Joshi said it was their hard work and dedication that helped the company to win laurels. He also received award for excellence in innovation with Ms. Rupal Mehta (Associate Manager, Quality Assurance - HMA).
The award was presented by the jury members from ITP Group, which owns the Manufacturing Today, one of India’s premium manufacturing sector magazines. Various other companies were also awarded in a total of 16 categories, in both small and medium enterprises and large enterprises.
Some of those companies include Mahindra & Mahindra , VOlVO , Dalmia Cements , Crompton & Greaves , JK Foils , JK Tyres , ESSAR Steel , Kirloskar Brothers , DABUR India, and Hyundai India lTD. ITP Publishing Group is a magazine publishing company which publishes over 60 magazines. It honours various companies every year for their excellence in various fields on the basis of a selection made by jury experts.
