Bhumipujan for construction of a check-dam was performed at village Dondro here and the entire construction work will be carried out by the Balco under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.
The Balco officials have estimated a total cost of Rs2,25,0000 for the construction of the check-dam which will provide irrigation facility in up to 100 acres of land. About 70 farmers will be benefited by the project. Gram Panchayat Dondro will extend all help for the construction of the dam.
Gram Sarpanch Bandhan Singh, Prannath Mishra, PRO of Balco, Community welfare joint director Kanchan Nagesiya, Assistant Manager Robin Jiva and others public representatives were present with the villagers on the occasion of Bhumi Pujan ceremony.
