The Bharat Aluminium Company ltd (BAlCO) has put on stream a project which achieves 'zero discharge of waste water at its power plant through utilization of its internal technical resources, a company statement claimed here on Thursday.
The project which expects to contribute in environment protection would make utilization of the additionally available treated water from its Effluent Treatment Plant of its 540 MW Power Generation Unit for use in Smelter-II at the plant.
The treated water would be also used for gardening purposes at the Plants complex. There would be a saving of 300 cubic meter of water every day at the plant from the initiative, it added.
