The Bharat Aluminium Company limited (BAlCO) has been awarded with the prestigious ‘16th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2015’ at a function organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on September 3 in Hyderabad.
The award was received by Avinash Pandit Chavan (Head-MRSDS) and Ankur Jha (Manager–Potroom) from Dr Ajay Mathur (Director General–BEE) and Dr Naushad Forbes (President-CII, Director- Forbes Marshall) at the function held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
The ‘National Award for Excellence in Energy Management’ has been instituted by the CII with the primary objective of recognising the existing best practices for efficient energy management and encouraging more industries to reduce their overall natural resource consumption and establish futurity by pinpointing carbon emission reduction initiatives focussed on energy conservation and thereby meeting the overall commitment of the country to the world community on energy conservation and environment.
