Bais facing opposition in certain rural pockets

Former Union Minister and BJP candidate from Raipur lok Sabha seat Ramesh Bais, had been facing opposition in certain rural pockets of his constituency.

Bais, while on his campaign tour on Monday had to face the resentment of residents of Bhainsa village in Aarang Assembly segment, who accused him of ignoring their problems.

Just two days back, in a similar visit to the Aarang Assembly segment, the sitting MP faced opposition from residents of Kosrangi village, who accused him of not making sufficient visits to the village as an MP.

However, party workers stated that the Congress party was to blame for Bais facing the resentment from residents of certain villages.

The charge of electioneering in Aarang Assembly segment is with BJP MlA Naveen Markandey. Besides, the BJP had won the last Assembly poll, with a margin of 13,000 votes.

On the other hand, the Congress candidate and former minister Satyanarayan Sharma, has started his poll campaign at Sodhi, the home village of Bais. The Congress has made former party MlA Rudra Kumar Guru the party’s election in-charge at Sodhi. Apart from this, Sharma had been MlA from Mandir Hasaud for five times and won the last Assembly poll from the Raipur (Rural) Assembly seat.
