Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in a letter to Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri urged him to ensure adequate and regular supply of petrol and diesel across the state.

He stated that a delegation of the Chhattisgarh Petroleum Dealer Welfare Association had raised the issue that 750 retail outlets of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited in the state were closed due to the shortage in the supply of petrol and diesel.
The review carried out by petroleum companies reveals that earlier the buffer stock would last for 4-5 days. But for the past 1-2 months it only lasts for one day. It is the reason that the petrol pumps become dry.
