Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said the Central government has          targeted the media house National Herald today, tomorrow it will target others. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been regularly used to defame the Congress and its leaders.

He was commenting on raids on the National Herald and others on money              laundering charges.

Before leaving for Kharora, he told the media: “Now, after questioning Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, the National Herald has been raided. Today it is a media house, next will be yours.”

Baghel said that the Central government has been constantly trying to defame the Congress and targeting opposition leaders.

Countering the BJP’s allegations on transfer policy and corruption, the Chief Minister said that for 15 years of BJP rule they had been indulging in the same. If transfer is a way to earn money or to improve the system, the BJP should answer it.

On drought like            situation in Surguja division, he blamed it on lack of adequate rains. Some more         districts have reported scanty rainfall. There are more than 12 tehsils. The survey work had already begun.
