The participants made attractive shapes and pictures of Maharaja Agrasen, Ganpati Bappa, moon and stars with perfection in the ‘Candle-Mehndi’ contest on the third day of Agrasen Jayanti Mahotsava here on Tuesday.
As many as 19 women participated in the contest to exhibit their artistic skills with use of candle and Mehndi only, said Media In-charge of Agrasen Jayanti Mahostava, Subhash Agrawal.
He said that various interesting events were organised during the Mahotsava and the participants from all sections of the society participated with enthusiasm. In the ‘Candle-Mehndi’ contest, a participant had to decorate a candle with use of Mehndi colours in 45 minutes. The participants not only modified the shapes of the candles but also painted them with perfection to win all round applause from the people.
The participants included Manisha Agrawal, Aruna, Reena, Madhuri, Premlata Goyal, Ayushi, Monica, Preeti, Anjali, Khushbu Bajoria, Nikita, Prachi Agrawal, Bhumika, Aditi, Reshma, Bobby, Swati and Shraddha, said Agrawal.
Members of different families participated as teams in the ‘Sab Khelo Sab Jeeto’ contest organised by the Yuva Mandal. The teams were given the task at the spot and they had to participate without preparation.
Another highlight of the event was ‘Comedy Tadka’ in which participants had to act on a comic scene. Rekha Gupta, Anita Agrawal, Kavita Agrawal, Kiran Agrawal, Mamta Agrawal, Yogesh Agrawal, Pramod Jain, Kartavya Agrawal, and others were present on the occasion.
