Atalji was a world leader in history whose popularity graph only grew higher, said Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. He was addressing the condolence meeting organised for Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee at Pt Deendayal Auditorium, capital city Raipur on Saturday.
He further said that for last nine years, he had been fighting with life but finally gave up. Atalji had the power to light the lamp even during the storm. Dr Mukherjee had said to Atalji to speak about the conditions of Kashmir to the country and till his last day, he had followed it. Many of those present here have taken the motivation from Atalji to join politics. Atalji had taken many decisions which changed the destination of the country and he even divided the States in peaceful manner when compared to that of Andhra Pradesh.
Singh said that the founder of Chhattisgarh is gone but his words, memories and motivational words would remain with all.
BJP State president Dharamlal Kaushik said that in politics keeping the coordination of 24 different parties together is tough but he set an example.To save his Government he could have done horse trading like others but he did not do it to maintain the morality in politics. He, thus, set an example in the nation. He rose above the party and limits of thoughts and gain popularity and he had strength to bring the country together. Even after keeping away from politics from nine years, even then his popularity rose only.
Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar said that like Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s call for giving blood to give nation, Atalji called for giving 11 seats to provide State, the organisation stood up to prove it.
RSS leader Dr Purnendu Saxena said that Atalji never irritated anyone nor he got irritated. He kept the benefit and loss on same scale. An exhibition of photographs of visit of Atal Behari Vajpayee to Chhattisgarh was on display. A documentary film was also exhibited. Bharati Bandhu presented a programme on the occasion. large cross section of BJP office bearers and leaders were present.
