Chhattisgarh Congress has predicted the mandate it received during recently concluded assembly polls would be repeated in the ensuing general elections.
In a statement on Tuesday party’s general secretary and chairman communication wing Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said the Narendra Modi government at the Centre failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people and many of the promises made during 2014 elections turned out to be hollow.
Such promises include bringing back black money, promise of ‘Achhe Din’, putting a halt to price rise, removal of the section 370 and construction of Ram temple.
People of state are now comparing the 80 days tenure of Baghel government in the state and five years’ regime of Modi and in the comparison they find that the Congress is a better alternative for good governance, he said.
