Four persons died due to asphyxiation while two others have been hospitalised after inhaling poisonous gas in a septic tank in village Peglapalli under jurisdiction of Madded police station of the district on Tuesday. Father and son includes in the total four killed.
Superintendent of Police, Bijapur Mohit Garg informed that the deceased include house owner Enja Madania,his son Shankar Madania and two labourers Enja Pankaj and D Kashyap.
Earlier, the father and son had entered the septic tank. When duo did not return the two labourers had followed them. The incident occurred when they entered the septic tank of toilet in order to clean it. All the four died on the spot while the two who fainted due to poisonous gas were immediately rushed to hospital.
The father Enja Madania was an employee of Krishi Upaj Mandi while the son Shankar was working as a clerk in a school.
