Member mechanical, railway Board anf former general manager of South East Central railway Arunendra Kumar reached Raipur from Bilaspur Thursday. He was accompanied by divisional railway manager P S Mishra, chief engineer (Mechanical) R S Kochak and CMPE A K Gupta, chief manager (workshop) Wagon Repair Ravi Kumar and other officials.
During his visit, Kumar inspected the new diesel loco-shed being constructed for manufacturing of high capacity loco. All the information regarding the project was given to him by chief mechanical engineer R S Kochak. later, he also took information regarding the development of Bio Diesel Plant project.
Kumar also inaugurated the newly constructed lube Oil Dispensing plant in Diesel loco-shed situated in Wagon Repair Shop. With the opening of this plant now lubricating oil will be put in locomotives mechanically. This will not only reduce the man power but also lessen oil wastage in the process. He inspected all departments of diesel lo-shed and saw the implements. He also talked with union office bearers and planted some saplings.
Employees of Raipur Division gave him a warm farewell as general manager and welcomed him as member (Mechanical) Railway Board.
