A recruitment rally of Soldier General Duty (Sol GD) for 16 vacancies in the Territorial Army besides vacancy each for Soldier (Chef) and Religious Teacher will be conducted at Rajyotsav Mela Ground in Naya Raipur from February 20 to 25.
Service in Territorial Army is not a permanent assured job, a Defence Ministry press release issued here on Wednesday informed.
The height of candidate should be 160cm, weight will be minimum 50 kg & chest will be 77cm with expansion 5cm for all categories. However relaxation of physical standards for son of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen, War Widow & adopted son/son-in-law of War Widow, if she has no son, height will be 02cm, weight 02 kgs & chest 01cm. National/State level sportsmen, relaxation in height will be 03 cm, weight 03 kgs & chest 03cm, it stated.
The Recruitment Rally will be conducted date wise as Recruitment of Soldier (General Duty), Soldier (Chef) and Religious Teacher (Junior Commissioned Officer) for the candidates of Chhatisgarh on February 20, 2017, Odisha, Jharkhand & Uttarakhand on February 21, 2017 and Bihar, Uttar Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh on February 22, 2017, it mentioned.
Medical examination and interview of candidates will be held on Febraury 23-24, 2017 and finalization of selection on February 25, 2017, it informed.
