Following the directives of Collector Niranjan Das, the Association of Retail Merchants have expressed their willingness of selling Arhar dal (a variety of lentil) between Rs110 and Rs140 per kg in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh.
The move was initiated to provide immediate relief to the general public from the price hike. As per information received here, a decision was taken in the meeting chaired by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Pradeep Mishra. With this decision, people here would be able to get the lentil in actual market price.
Collector Niranjan Das and Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Kamble carried out inspection at a shop in Rajim Nagaral also to examine the quality and quantity of available stock.
