District Collector Thakur Ram Singh has directed officials to attach an In-charge official in paddy procurement centres from nearby centres where paddy purchase is not taking place in the absence of any government staff in the district.
In a meeting chaired by the Collector on Monday, it was informed by the officials that a total of 43 new godowns for storage of food grains had been built in the district and work is underway in four other godowns.
Singh directed the officials that the storage exercise in the new godowns constructed must start and the construction work for the remaining godowns must be completed at the earliest.
