The national president of Anti-Terrorist Front and former president of Youth Congress Maninderjit Singh Bitta said, “Naxalites have now become terrorists. We have to deal with them sternly, even though we have to pay much price for it.”
Bitta, at the meet to press programme organised here on Wednesday, said that at any cost they should not be spared, who shed the blood of innocent people in Chhattisgarh and made many a mothers and sisters widows. By deploying the Army they should be answered with bullets for bullets. All the political parties should join together and fight against those who dance over the dead bodies, the victory is imminent, he added.
Bitta said that the barbarism shown by the Naxalites at Darbha (Sukma) was not less than Jalianwalla Bagh. They were not following Naxalism but terrorism. They have not shown brave heart there, but were stabbing on the back.
Bitta said in such a time all the political parties, including the Congress and the BJP, should work together and should stop exploitation of tribal population and should save the mothers and sisters from becoming widows.
Citing the elimination of terrorism in Punjab, Bitta said, the people of Punjab faced death, but did not allow Punjab to become Khalistan. By deploying CRPF and other forces, the Government had eliminated terrorism from the land of Punjab. Similarly, in Chhattisgarh also, operation should be launched against Naxalites, by deploying the Army and other forces, he added.
Regarding politics of votes and security, Bitta said "we want tribal's votes, not Naxalites" and added, now, politics of votes would not be allowed at any cost. He said about 1,500 Naxalites attacked the Congress Parivartan Yatra, but the Government security agencies did not have any information about it. After the incident, these agencies were bringing new revelation, but why they don't have such information earlier, he questioned.
He said the State Government should stop politics on dead bodies and should work on the rules, like Punjab.
