Police nabbed a suspected Naxal cadre from latmarka village under Durgkondal police station in Kanker district.
The arrested insurgent was involved in several serious crimes, police said on Friday. According to the police, a joint team of District police and Border Security Force (BSF) had started on a search/combing operation from Durgkondal police station. Based on the intelligence inputs, the team had reached latmarka village where they nabbed him, police said on Friday.
Police informed that insurgent was identified as Dhansingh Jade (48) resident of latmarka. He was involved in several serious crimes such as attempt to murder, handling arms act and keeping explosives. A local court had released permanent warrant against Dhansingh Jade, police claimed.
Noteworthy here is that during the past few days several hardcore Naxals have been either arrested or have surrendered before the police in Kanker. Two Naxals carrying cash rewards surrendered before the police and another wanted ultra was arrested in Kanker on Thursday. Similarly on July 2 this year, five Naxals were arrested from Rowgaht and neighboring areas.
