Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said on Sunday that it is an honour for the entire Kanwar community that their son is the Chief Minister.
Sai, who hails from the Kanwar community, said: “I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for entrusting such a huge responsibility to a small worker of the community.
“I have come here to seek blessings and cooperation to fulfill the trust the people of the state have placed on me.”
Sai praised famous tribal personalities including former Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Pyarelal Kanwar and Gahira Guru.
He added that there will be no meddling in the future of youths.
The investigation into the Chhattisgarh PSC scam has been handed over to the CBI, he added.
He was addressing a felicitation programme of the Kanwar community in Raipur.
The Kanwar community bestowed “Kanwar Gaurav” on Sai. He announced an assistance of Rs. 50 lakh for the expansion of the Kanwar community building.
He also released the Kanwar Annual Calendar 2024 and the social magazine Harihar Madwa, Part 2. Youths who have made contributions in education, health and culture as well as to the upliftment of the Kanwar community were honoured.
