The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has termed the expulsion of Marwahi MlA Amit Jogi by Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) as the latter’s (Congress party’s) ‘internal issue’.
State BJP spokesperson and MlA Shivratan Sharma said that the audio tape row was just an excuse and it was due to factionalism and infighting among Congress party leaders which resulted in the situation.
Senior Congress leaders in Chhattisgarh are simply engaged in proving their supremacy in the organisation which led to the audio tape row, he said.
BJP MlA (Raipur North) Shrichand Sundarani said that neither the BJP nor its members have any type of involvement in the controversy.
