PWD Minister Rajesh Munat informed Chhattisgarh Assembly on Friday that ambient air quality levels in Raipur and Bilaspur cities besides industrial zones of Raipur, Bilaspur and Korba have been found above standard air quality levels as on June 2016.
In a written reply to Congress member TS Singhdeo, the Minister informed that ambient air quality in cities of Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa and Korba and industrial area of Raigarh was found below standard air quality levels.
He informed that online continuous pollution monitoring systems are being established in 17 types of polluting industries.
Munat also informed that efforts are underway to utilise sold waste generated by industrial units for
various productive works.
He informed that plantation work is underway in industrial zones and urban areas of the State.
