Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Urban Administration Amar Agrawal inaugurated a lok Seva Kendra on the new composite building premises Bilaspur on Thursday. The Minister also dedicated to public the newly constructed office of the Divisional Commissioner, Bilaspur, and a well-equipped badminton court at Raja Raghuraj Singh Stadium.
Talking to reporters at Raja Raghuraj Singh Stadium Bilaspur, Agrawal said that all essential facilities would be provided to common people through the lok Seva Kendra. The lok Seva Kendra would be helpful to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s digital India dream and it would be helpful in bringing transparency. All online facilities would be provided at the Kendra, he added. The Central government has set some parameters for a smart city. The State government would make all efforts to develop some cities of Chhattisgarh as smart city. If the State Government failed, it would make efforts further for recognition of smart city, the Minister said.
Replaying to a query on underground sewerage, the Minister assured all directives issued by the High Court would be followed by the State Government on priority. Agrawal said that soon Bilaspur would get good sports infrastructure after dedication of State Sports Training Centre here. Asked on rise in crimes in the city, he said, police were doing their job to check crimes in the city.
There are some problems and obstacles in carrying out development works of Arpa Special Area Development Authority. Temporary arrangements were being made to address these problems and obstacles, Agrawal said. Agrawal informed that a well-equipped gym would be developed at a cost of around Rs 15 lakh at Raja Raghuraj Singh Stadium.
