Chhattisgarh has become the biggest beneficiary of Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu's budget announcements made in the Parliament on Thursday with all the proposals made by the State Government incorporated in the budget, officials informed.
Incidentally, Chief Minister Raman Singh had met the Union Railway Minister in New Delhi on February 9 this year and had requested him to include financially viable projects in the Budget.
The Chhattisgarh government had also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Union Ministry of Railways on February 9 for three rail corridor projects .
