Just ahead of the expiry of tenure of most of the civic bodies of the state and advent of elections to elect new bodies this year, the state government on Saturday nominated around 200 Aldermen in these local bodies across the state.
As per the order issued by the government eight Aldermen each have been nominated in Ambikapur and Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation. Six have been nominated in Rajnandgaon and one in Durg.
Five Aldermen each have been nominated in Municipal Councils in Koriya, Surajpur, Balrampur, Jashpur, Kanker, Kondagaon, Dantewada, Sukma, Narayanpur, Balod, Durg, Rajnandgaon and Sarguja.
while in 30 Nagar Panchayat in Surajpur, Balrampur, Jashpur, North Bastar Kanker, South Bastar Dantewada, Sukma, Balod, Durg, Kabirdham, Rajnandgaon and Bijaspur three Aldermen each have been nominated.
