Bollywood actress and former Member of Parliament from Samajwadi Party (SP), Jayaprada has termed Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav as a ‘defiant boy’.
“He is the reason behind the downfall of a massive political party formed by his father Mulayam Singh Yadav”, she said.
Jayaprada was in the city on Friday for participating in ‘Stree Shakti’ felicitation programme on occasion of International Woman’s Day programme.
While addressing media persons later, she lambasted Akhilesh Yadav for not giving proper respect to elders. It was only because of his ill behaviour , the great party of Mulayam Singh Yadav was limited to only 40 seats in Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, she said.
She also appreciated the efforts of government for empowering the women and securing their rights.
Jayaprada lauded the efforts of BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre on the issue of ‘Triple Talaq.’
She said being an MP she always raised the voice of women and she was the first to demand for women’s reservation while she was an MP from Telgu Desham Party (TDP).
As the general elections are near, once again voices for it are being raised, she said.
