Ajit Jogi moves HC to challenge scrutiny committee’s findings

State’s former chief minister and founder of regional outfit Janta Congress Chhattisgarh, Ajit Jogi, on Thursday moved the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur to challenge the    findings of high power     scrutiny committee that revokes his tribal status.

Notable, the scrutiny committee in its 29-page report had cancelled all his caste related documents that suggested he belonged to ‘Kanwar’ community, a scheduled tribe.

Talking to The Pioneer Ajit Jogi’s son and state president JCC-J, Amit Jogi confirmed that they have moved to the High Court and the case would probably be listed in a day or two.

“We have challenged the scrutiny committee’s report citing anomalies in 55 different points”, he said.

Amit further claimed that the decision of the scrutiny committee was prejudiced and expressed hope that they will get justice from the court.

“We have complete faith on judiciary and we are sure that we will not face injustice there”, Amit said.
