A three-day Western region Agriculture fair cum Farmer’s Felicitation Programme, which was scheduled to be starting from March 6, will now be commencing from March 15 in Raipur, officials stated.
The programme to be held in the campus of Indira Gandhi Agriculture University (IGAU), Raipur is going to record the participation of progressive farmers, representatives of organizations working in agriculture field and agriculture scientists from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa along with two Union territories Daman and Diu and Dadar and Nagar Haveli.
On the occasion, farmers from different states are going to share their working experience for development of agriculture. Moreover, symposium and elaborate discussion of farmers and agriculture scientists would also be held on series of topics. Exhibition displaying agriculture techniques and crops of participating states would be organized during the event.
The programme is scheduled to be concluding on March 17 with felicitation of farmers.
