A farmer was denied allocation of a tractor after an agency physically verified his old tractor and submitted a report, Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey said on Thursday, adding the agency's services have been terminated.
The target of allocation of tractors is equally given in all blocks and this will be ensured, instead of concentrating in certain pockets, the Minister told the Assembly.
He was replying to BJP's Narayan Chandel who complained about the farmer's plight. He said in only three blocks of Janjgir-Champa district has the allocation of targets been done.
Choubey said the agency was based in Bhopal. The government will ensure the allocation of tractors to the farmers. The applications are taken online. After the number reaches 30, registration is blocked.
The Minister said the government will consider raising the target.
