A court has sentenced a 26-year-old adopted son to life term for killing his mother to seize her property in Raipur city, a government lawyer said on Sunday.
Additional Public Prosecutor Manoj Verma on Saturday said Special Judge (Atrocities) Hirendra Singh tekam found Sudeep Kumar Bose guilty of killing Hemprabha Bose (68).
On February 25, 2019, Bose beat her to death in Parshuram Nagar in Raipur to get her property. Without the consent of relatives, he donated her body to a government hospital.
On suspicion, the woman’s relatives sought a post-mortem. Based on it, Bose was arrested.
