Additional Public Prosecutor, Dantewada, Ranjana Singh wife of Additional District Judge (ADJ) Dantewada, Manendra Singh was found hanging in her home, police said here on Friday.
“Ranjana Singh was found hanging in a room at the first floor of her house on Thursday late evening,” Superintendent of Police (SP) Dantewada Kamlochan Kashyap told The Pioneer over phone.
No suicide note was found with body of the deceased, the SP said adding police is trying to find out the reason behind the Additional Public Prosecutor taking the extreme step. According to the police, Ranjana Singh after returning from court on Thursday late evening had locked herself in the room on upper floor of house.
later on, when the ADJ returned he asked the house assistant to call his wife for tea. However, when Ranjana did not reply to repeated knocks on the door, the same was broken open and she was found hanging from the ceiling in the room, police said.
Meanwhile, Police has registered a case in this regard and have launched investigations.
