The Chhattisgarh Yatayat Mahasangh, has opposed the acquisition of buses for Mahasamund, Gariyaband and Dhamtari districts.
The Mahasangh in a statement said that because of the acquisition, the number of buses has been reduced to half at Raipur bus station.
General secretary of the Mahasangh, Haji Shafiq Raja said that the payment of rent for buses acquired during the Assembly election for Balodabazar and Gariyaband has not yet been done. Again buses are being acquired in Raipur for the lok Sabha election.
He demanded that the buses acquired from Raipur should not be sent to other districts and the rent of the buses acquired from Raipur for poll duty be paid at Raipur itself.
