Under lok Suraj Abhiyan, State Minister for Tribal Welfare and School Education Kedar Kashyap toured the restive area of Abhujhmad in Bastar region on Thursday.
The Minister, while attending a camp, opined that the 14 years of BJP rule had completely transformed a backward region like Abhujhmad .
Kashyap said that earlier people feared to enter this region but now after the development, people from outside too are visiting here to enjoy panoramic natural beauty of the area.
“All this is an outcome of active participation of villagers as well as the better government schemes which developed the region”, he said.
He claimed that the government had done well in the field of education, health and electrification for this lesser developed region. The Minister also declared immediate sanction of Rs one crore for the Orchha and nearby villages.
He said the Saurya Sufala Scheme of the government had waived off the electric bills of the farmers and their families and adequate irrigation arrangement has been ascertained under the scheme, he said.
