Abhishek Singh, BJP candidate from Rajnandgaon lok Sabha seat, will file his nomination paper on Monday here with a massive procession. Party workers from the constituency and State-level senior leaders will be present on the occasion. Abhishek Singh, who is the lone son of Chief Minister Raman Singh, will address the party workers before filing his nomination. Singh has stationed in Rajnandgaon for quite some time and has been holding a series of meetings with social groups to muster their support.
He has a fair idea of basic issues of Rajnandgaon lok Sabha constituency and he had successfully engineered victory of his father from Rajnandgaon Assembly seat in November last year. Raman Singh had largely stayed away from Rajnandgaon Assembly poll campaign trusting his son's poll managerial ability and Abhishek Singh ensured a massive victory for his father.
The BJP has taken an initial lead from the BJP in Rajnandgaon in terms of campaigning in rural urban as well as in vast rural areas, where the BJP has put dozens of massive posters, banners cutouts and colourful flex of Abhishek Singh. Abhishek himself begins his election tour daily at 8-9 in the morning which goes on till late in the night. Besides, addressing the workers meeting, Singh is focusing on direct interaction with the booth-level workers. Various institutions like big and small traders unions and non-political social service institutions, have invited him to know about his schemes for the area.
On Saturday, after the Nandgaon workers meeting, Abhishek attended the formal programme of fruit traders at Jaisthambh Chowk. In the evening, Sankalp institution had invited him for the Holi Milan programme. On Sunday, Abhishek reached Ranvirpur village in Pandaria area and has discussion with the villagers. He organised workers meeting at Pandaria and Kawardha. The outgoing MP from Rajnandgaon, Madhusudan Yadav, accompanied him in these meetings. In the meetings, Abhishek told the electorates that the atmosphere of the country would be changed after this election, which would give an opportunity to boost the development process of Chhattisgarh.
Abhishek said that the electorates in Chhattisgarh, after testing the BJP for the last 10 years, have given a third term to it, which would be more glittering than the earlier two terms of the party and for that it was necessary to form a BJP Government at the Centre.
