AAP should ponder why its fielding Soni Sori: Kashyap

BJP’s lok Sabha candidate from Bastar Dinesh Kashyap on Wednesday said that it is a matter for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to ponder why it is fielding Soni Sori as its candidate from Bastar who had been booked by the police for allegedly helping the Naxals.

‘It is AAP’s internal affair as to why it is fielding Sori as lok Sabha candidate from Bastar,’ he told The Pioneer while talking over phone from Jagdalpur. Kashyap who filed his nomination papers for the Bastar lok Sabha seat on Wednesday said that insurgency is a national problem and the Congress party does not seem to be serious in ending the menace. When asked what would be the issues to be highlighted by him in Bastar considering the fact that he is re-contesting polls from the Maoist hotbed Bastar, he remarked “It has always been development under Chief Minister Raman Singh”. The other key agenda is to see Narendra Modi lead this country, he said. Kashyap said that the Chhattisgarh Government has been actively involved in ending the insurgency problem in the State. SR
