Under the procedure being adopted by Aam Admi Party (AAP), different district committees in Chhattisgarh have unanimously recommended five candidates–laxman Masturiya from Mahasamund , Soni Sori from Bastar, Anand Mishra from Bilaspur, Santosh Dhruv from Kanker and Shankar Sonvani from Janjgir for the lok Sabha election, informed convener of Party State Committee Sanket Thakur in conversation with The Pioneer on Sunday.
Now these names will be declared from Delhi. The procedure for the remaining 6 seats of Chhattisgarh is going on, which would be completed soon. The AAP has decided to fight the lok Sabha election on the issues of anti-farmer policies of the Government, against the cheating of farmers by both the national parties–the BJP and the Congress and on the procurement of paddy on support price.
Thakur also said that for the Chhattisgarh Government, liquor contract is more important than the problems of the farmers. The Government has not shown any interest of the farmers problems due to excessive rainfall and crop damage. The relief proposal has been affected due to the enforcement of model code of conduct and on the other, the Government cancelled and recalled the liquor contract tender within 24 hours. It shows that the Government is more concerned about the interest of liquor mafias, than the problems of the farmers.
Thakur said that he is going to Delhi to get the aforesaid names finalised by central committee, hoping that rest of the names would also be finalised soon. Thakur further said that both the national parties were cheating and doing breach of trust with the farmers.
