The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is inviting young amateur and budding artists to display their art work and also sell them from a designated location of Swami Vivekananda Airport here, officials informed.
The art works may include paintings, sculpture or any other form of art, they informed.
A panel will be maintained which will be dynamic so that new entrants have also the opportunity to get the space for displaying her/his art work.
Notably, with a view to improving quality of service and amenities for passengers, AAI is also planning to develop land parcels of approximately 80 acres around the new integrated terminal of Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur.
AAI believes that development of the city side of the airport would make the region an ‘economic hub’ with exceptional connectivity, officials informed.
The city side development of the airport envisages setting up of hotels and convention centers with an ‘Airport Commercial District’ which would also include ‘Airport Business District’, and a host of world-class passenger convenience amenities among others.
