The failure on the part of the Aadhar Card team to reach Red Cross Bhavan in the District Collectorate forced the people to stage a protest in front of the Collectorate here on Friday.
According to them, they reached the Red Cross Bhavan to make their Aadhar Card and to their surprise no responsible member of the Aadhar Card team was present there. Even though they spent a couple of hours expecting that the team would turn up, but to no avail.
The irked crowd then reached the Collectorate to lodge their complaint against the team but they were again disappointed to find that no responsible official was present in the Collectorate.
Subsequently, they gathered in front of the Collectorate and staged a protest shouting slogans against the officials and Aadhar Card team.
They were also annoyed that even in the past, many a times, after fixing dates at different places, the team remained absent .
Some of the citizens, especially women reached the 'Red Cross Bhavan' with their infants as early as 9 am with the hope to complete the formalities for getting their Aadhar card prepared.
According to the protesters, most of them were daily wage workers and they lost the wages for the day as well.
