Children aged between 0-6 years are being preferred in Anganwadis. On the other hand, children between the age group of 6-18 years are preferred. Two routes have been made in each block wherein the registration is done through Aadhaar machines. The machine is either being installed at the Gram Panchayat or in the School Building.

The process was started in various wards of Jagdalpur on October 7. The Aadhaar machine for students studying in Private and Government Schools will be installed soon, stated officials. The District Administration has appealed the residents of Bastar to come forward in the Aadhaar registration of children in their areas.

Notably, the Chhattisgarh government has also prepared a comprehensive action plan for ensuring total transparency in the preparation of ration cards besides evolving a mechanism for error-free identity of Public Distribution System (PDS) beneficiaries.

Under the action plan, the mobile, bank account and Aadhar numbers of the beneficiaries are being collected.

Officials informed that data entry of details of more than 39,40,556 PDS beneficiaries have been completed out of the popular 63,51,736 beneficiaries till August month.
