About 920 cases had been filed in connection with the violation of weights and measures rules against the traders and various business establishments during the last 10 months.
An amount of Rs36.70 lakh had been collected as fines from the erring businessmen.Office of the Controller of Metrology officers said that surprise inspections are being conducted on various business establishments and cases are being booked for violating Weights-Measures' Act,officials stated.
