School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap on Thursday informed Chhattisgarh Assembly that there are a total of 80 private schools operational in Kondagaon district of Bastar.
In a written reply to Congress member Santram Netam, the Minister informed that out of 80 private schools, there are 50 schools where 1570 children had been admitted under Right to Education (RTE) Act. He said that barring three schools, the State Government has paid fee for children in 47 private schools till 2014-15. For the academic session 2015-16, fee for children in 50 private schools is yet to be paid and the fee demand of the schools is being examined, Kashyap informed.
