Sowing of Rabi crops has been completed in 80 per cent of the cropping area so far in Chhattisgarh, officials informed.
The State Government has set the sowing target of 18.51 lakh hectares during the Rabi season. So far sowing of Rabi crops has been completed in 15 lakh hectares.
The Chhattisgarh Government has already hiked the total amount of short-term agriculture loans to be disbursed to the farmers by 20 per cent, officials informed.
Earlier the target had been fixed at Rs 500 crore to be disbursed to the farmers during the Kharif season. The short-term farm loans has been revised and the authorities has set a target of Rs 600 crore, officials stated.
